The Bedford Restaurant Limerick City Centre

Excellent spot for breakfast with a nice menu, covering all the bases from a Full Irish (mini & veggie options are also available) to the trendy eggs & avocado via Eggs Benedict, Royale & Florentine as well as pancakes & French toast. Scones & croissants are also available.

Staff are always (and have always been) friendly and attentive. Started coming here when it was a small café selling coffee, cakes, pastries and sandwiches and it has only got better..

I had a fabulous breakfast in The Bedford. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the fruit was incredibly fresh. Maple syrup on the side meant I could just have a little bit. The refill cup of tea was lovely too.

Somewhat disappointing. Although we were in time (as confirmed by the staff) for breakfast we were only provided the lunch menu which limited options. The eggs needed more seasoning while the pancakes were not the expected fluffy as other reviews mention but a very dense affair. The bacon was strange as in half of a piece was crispy while the other half was not. Probably a sign of been under a headlight. The crispy bits were lovely so I hope that was the intended outcome and not accidental. The staff when we saw them as there was clearly not enough of them on were very pleasant and tried to get to everyone. Pricing is as is expected for such a location. I think 2.5 is a closer mark but don't want to mark down to 2 hence the 3.
